Description
The Roses Theatre is running free disability training seminars for local organisations to learn about how they could use disabled volunteers in their work. They are open to any staff members that would benefit, and there are no limits on how many staff from an organisation can attend. All seminars will be held at The Roses Theatre, and are supported by the Arts Council and Create Gloucestershire.
If you would like to host a disabled volunteer but are worried about your capacity to do so, there are bursaries for 6 organisations to support a disabled volunteer. Practical Inclusion Training: Thursday 1 March 10:30am-4pm
This seminar will be run by Active Impact, and will focus on the issues to consider when working with disabled young people.
There will be a lunchtime discussion lead by BasicNeeds which will include free lunch, to listen to the needs of disabled people, carers, and mental health sufferers in Tewkesbury district.
There are limited numbers for the lunchtime session, so please book for this in advance.
Joint Learning: Monday 26 March 10:30am-4pm
A joint learning seminar for organisations who want to work with disabled volunteers to get together with local disabled young people and the organisations which represent them.
