This event is organised by NHS Gloucestershire.

Mental health problems, particularly anxiety and depression, are the biggest cause of sickness absence at work. Improving awareness and understanding of mental illness and learning how to support colleagues who are in distress can really make a difference.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) will help you to support your family, friends and work colleagues, as well vulnerable people you may come into contact with as part of your work. MHFA is a 12-hour intensive course delivered over two days.

Normally these courses costs £150 per person, however the public health department of NHS Gloucestershire is providing this training free of charge to third sector workers who work with vulnerable people, as part of our commitment to improving mental well-being, and reducing social exclusion.
