Charities Act

The Charities Act 2006 was passed in Parliament in November 2006, with parts of the Act coming into use over time.  The Office of the Third Sector, part of the Cabinet Office, has produced a booklet which provides an overview of the Act.  The link for this guidance is http://www.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/thirdsector/law and follow the links under Charity Law and Regulation.
