Guidance on being a trustee
The Charity Commission produces a booklet called “The Essential Trustee”, which explains in brief roles, responsibilities and competency requirements for being a trustee. This is available on the Charity Commission website.
Where to Advertise for Volunteers
Volunteering Gloucestershire – Organisations needing new trustees can place an advert on the Do-It website www.do-it.org.uk or phone 0845 310 5337 for further information. You may also be interested in REACH: a national charity which seeks to place volunteers. This is a free service and a registration rorm is available on their website, on which there is also other useful advice and information about volunteering in general and being a trustee www.reach-online.org.uk
