The Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board (GSCB) was established in 2006. The board is made up of professionals from partner agencies responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people including protection from harm. It is the role of the GSCB to ensure the effective co-ordination of its partner agencies and to agree how local services and professionals should work together in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of its children and young people.

The Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board (GSCB) runs 4 e-learning packages to provide professionals with a flexible and convenient way to enhance their knowledge and awareness and to compliment our existing Child Protection e-learning course. The e-learning courses are provided by kwango.

The four packages cover the following subjects: -

• Domestic Abuse
• Parental Substance Misuse (Hidden Harm)
• Safeguarding Leadership (for supervisors, frontline and senior managers)
• Safeguarding Children

These courses are free for voluntary and community organisations in Gloucestershire and in order for you to access the e learning courses you will need a password and login.
