GAVCA

GAVCA provides specialist training for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Gloucestershire. Our training programme is organised in response to the needs identified by the groups we work with and covers a range of topics such as fundraising, finance, volunteering, safeguarding and youth work.

We pride ourselves on offering expertise, knowledge and skills from our team of specially selected trainers who have years of experience working in or with the VCS. We believe that training is integral to up-skilling those that support and/or deliver frontline services in the county.

Our courses are affordable and heavily subsidised for members to ensure that training opportunities are accessible to small groups, large organisations or those in the early stages of development.

Our mission is to provide training and support for the VCS in the county; however we welcome bookings from anyone – individuals, the public sector, the private sector and those based outside Gloucestershire.

Our training programme is organised into two ‘terms’ – Spring/Summer (covering April to July) and Autumn/Winter (covering September to February). For information on our current courses click here or see our latest Brochure:
