The project is still in the early stages of its development and creation, but we are planning to deliver the following to VCOs:

Events

These will provide both VCOs and businesses with the chance to network with and meet each other in comfortable and informal setting. The events will have speakers from both sectors sharing their experience of partnership working and its benefits to their organizations and businesses.

Information Sessions

These sessions are designed to be both informative and interactive; groups are invited to send questions and discussion points in advance or bring them along on the day. The sessions will be held throughout the county at different points throughout the year.

3. Corporate Social Responsibility – what does this mean to you?
4. Recognizing and harnessing the value in both sectors

Training / Learning and Development Sessions

These sessions will provide groups will equip groups with a solid understanding of the private sector and CSR, as well as the needed skills to develop effective partnerships. Groups will be given the opportunity to attend sessions throughout the year on the following subjects:

1. Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility
2. Understanding the private sector Corporate Social Responsibility agendas
3. Working effectively with the private sector
4. Building the business case for Corporate Social Responsibility

Workshops

The topics for these can be decided by the VCS itself, so please feel free to email suggestions. These will be held throughout the year and at the Trustee and Volunteering Conferences.
