IT Support
ICT support and advice is available to voluntary organisations in Gloucester and Cheltenham. Our IT and Information Support Worker can provide help and advice in the following areas):
- ICT policies and procedures
- ICT Strategy
- Data security, backups, disaster recovery
- PC health checks
- Hardware and software inventory
- Is the PC up to the job?
- What can be done to extend its life?
- Antivirus and other malware
- hardware and software firewalls,
- antivirus and antispyware software,
- spam minimisation
- PC hardware & software and printer problems
- Purchasing advice and installation assistance
Unfortunately the funding for this as a free service ended on 31 October 2008. Groups are now offered a free initial consultation, with further support available at £35 per hour.
