GAVCA brings together voluntary and community groups in many ways to share information, skills and good practice.We support voluntary and community organisations in participating in local strategic partnerships : By facilitating local VCS Forums in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the Cotswolds. These each meet quarterly and are a great way for all staff, volunteers and Trustees from voluntary and community groups in these districts to get together and share experiences, information and advice. We are also working with partners to support the development of similar structures in other parts of the county. We also contributing a VCS perspective to the Local Strategic Partnerships in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury, on which GAVCA has a place, and by working alongside statutory and business partners in these districts to develop and deliver their local Community Strategies.
