Independence Trust: Information and Reporting Lead

Job Details:

  • Contract: Full Time – Initially funded for 18 months but there is the possibility of it becoming permanent
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Salary: £19,536 pa
  • Location: Based in Gloucester and working countywide

Summary:

This is a challenging opportunity to join us at a time when we are expanding our existing data collection and reporting systems to meet the growing needs of the Agency. You will have experience in creating databases and producing reports. You will also be responsible for working with staff to support them with data collection. Although this post is initially funded for 18 months there is a possibility of it becoming permanent.

 

Person Specification:

  • Experience of creating databases
  • Demonstrable effective use of the Microsoft application suite in particular Excel, Access and Word
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to write clear and accurate records
  • Knowledge of effective use of Social Media
  • Ability to plan workload and be part of a team
  • Flexibility in your approach about when and where you work
  • Willingness to work occasional unsociable hours
  • A distance of at least 2 years since any personal substance misuse issues

Independence Trust: Part-Time Finance Administrator

Job Details:

  • Contract: Part-time
  • Hours: 25 hours pw – Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £16,163 pa pro rata
  • Location: Based in Gloucester

Summary:

We are looking for a part time Finance Administrator with excellent administration skills, particularly spreadsheets, to support the Finance and Facilities Department. This is a varied position which includes a whole range of duties from being responsible for all aspects of the invoice system to maintaining databases and spreadsheets to liaising with our suppliers. The 25 hours can be worked flexibly but they must be 5 hours per day Monday to Friday.

 

Person Specification:

  • A recognised qualification or proficiency in IT/word processing skills, data input and email
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to confidently liaise with suppliers/pharmacies etc
  • Experience of taking responsibility for personal workload
  • Ability to write clear accurate reports
  • An understanding of the confidential nature of the Agency
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm
  • Two years free from any personal substance misuse issues

Independence Trust: Volunteer/ Mentor Facilitator

Summary:

This is an exciting new post that will help to recruit Volunteers and Mentors to work with people using our drug, alcohol and mental health services. You will be involved in all aspects of recruitment and day to day support for the current and future Mentors and Volunteers. Although you will be based in Gloucester, you will be expected to work from different venues around the county and with our partner agencies. Volunteers and Mentors are recruited from all walks of life and for Mentors this includes people exiting the Criminal Justice System.

 

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working with volunteers and/or mentors.
  • Experience of planning and delivering training to volunteers/mentors to identified learning outcomes.
  • Experience of matching training provision to identified need.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the issues around equal opportunities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ability to get around the geographical area covered
  • Ability to plan workload and be part of a team.
  • Willingness to work occasional unsociable hours.

Summary:

BasicNeeds is an international development charity now entering its 12th year of innovation in mental health and development. BasicNeeds transforms lives by working with mentally ill people so that together, we can build a world that mentally ill people feel proud to live in.

BasicNeeds and Barnwood Trust have recently announced a pioneering new partnership to begin a new programme of work in Gloucestershire, England. Barnwood Trust is investing in a new ten-year community-based plan, ‘Unlocking Opportunities’, which aims to transform opportunities for people with disabilities and mental health problems, initially in rural Gloucestershire and its market towns.

One of the key features of this radical new plan is a Community Animation Programme to be run by BasicNeeds, using the expertise gained by working with vulnerable people living with mental illness and epilepsy in Africa and Asia. This innovative project began its work in November 2011 and to complete the Gloucestershire team a third Community Animator is required to identify community needs, provide training and steer the animation process

Minchinhampton Centre for the Elderly: Home Care Assistant

Job Details:

Summary:

To provide a Service of Care to service users in their own homes to enable them to lead as independent a lifestyle as possible. This Care Service will involve a programme of personal care and/or household tasks that is personalised for each service user in the form of a Service User Plan. Care duties will, therefore, include assisting the service user with the following activities and to observe and respect the service user's dignity, privacy and independence.

 

Person Specification

Essential criteria: Evidence of Secondary Education.

Desirable criteria: 1.NVQ2 in Care desirable but not essential as the successful applicant will be expected to commence this within six months of joining. 2.NVQ3 in Care desirable but not essential as applicants with NVQ2 will be encouraged to progress to this level.

Experience:

  • Literate
  • Numerate
  • Able to communicate effectively using English Language
