GAVCA

We welcome Membership applications from all voluntary & community organisations which meet all the following criteria:

• The organisation must provide a services specific to Gloucestershire and its work must benefit communities in Gloucestershire.
• The organisation's aims and objectives must be consistent with GAVCA's own aims and objectives, including community benefit.
• The organisation must have a management structure or other such method of being accountable to its local members or users.
• The organisation must have a set of rules or constitution and be a 'not for profit' organisation.
• If it has money, the organisation must have a bank account and keep financial records.
• The organisation must sign that they agree with, and will abide by, GAVCA's Equalities and Diversity Policy
• Membership is also open to individuals at the discretion of the Executive Committee and will be granted to those who the Committee wish to co-opt or recommend for election onto the Executive Committee, who are not from a member organisation. Membership for such individuals is free.

Criteria for Friends of GAVCA

Organisations and individuals wishing to endorse the work of GAVCA, but not eligible for membership, can be linked to GAVCA in a formal, but not constitutional, or accountable way as Friends of GAVCA. This includes VCS groups whose area of benefit does not include Gloucestershire or who cannot yet meet the criteria above, statutory agencies, as well as individuals and private businesses.

Membership Year

The Membership year begins on 1 October. Organisations which take up Membership part way through the membership year will pay a pro rata rate for the first part-year.

Cost of becoming a Member of GAVCA

Calculate the cost of membership by choosing your organisation's level of income:

• Under £20,000: Free
• Between £20,001 and £100,000: £20
• Between £100,001 and £250,000: £35
• Between £250,001 and £500,000: £70
• Over £500,000: £120

How to Pay for your Membership/ Friend's Status

Please calculate the cost of your Membership/ Friend's Status using the table above, and then send a cheque payable to GAVCA to GAVCA, Beatrice Webb House, 75-81 Eastgate Street, Gloucester GL1 1PN.

If you would prefer to pay your Membership/ Friend's fee by BACS, please tick the BACS box on the application form. We will then contact you with the details you will need to make the BACS payment.
